Given that I’m the author, I promise you I’m a real human. It’s not AI.

Obviously there’s a rise in pure AI writing but I find these sort of services that “analyze” content more harmful than good.

“Pure AI” so you haven’t used any LLM at all, or just partially?

No one questioned that you're human, but the writing is very apparently AI-written.

It is interesting that your recent posts have much more LLM style tics than your post on the same site from 2023. Are you deliberately imitating LLM writing quirks?

Why does it have to be deliberate? It's not surprising that people exposed to output from LLMs will unconsciously pick up their linguistic habits.

Maybe it isn't deliberate! I was asking out of curiosity. This reads as extremely LLM-y to me, so if it was purely human-written I am curious about the process.

Even more worrying if it's not deliberate and we are all just naturally writing like that now.

Pretty much every HN article now has someone in the comment section chiming in to complain "This is AI".

Sometimes that's me. I wish more submissions didn't read like AI. I worry that people can't detect tiresomely LLMy output and upvote it to the front page. I'm not mad or anything, I just find the internet less and less useful, because so much that circulates pings my personal AI detector (running in my skull). Sometimes I just close the tab in frustration but sometimes I comment, because it sucks.

(I don't actually care that much if it is LLM text, I care when something reads like it is, because it means everyone writing blogs using this style sounds like everyone else. it's alienating!)

I trust these detectors even less than I trust LLMs in the first place.

I submitted a few of my papers from grad school (long before LLMs or so-called "AI" existed) and they were flagged as being ~70% AI.

A shame indeed. Perhaps you should report it to the creators of Pangram? And perhaps you should stop shilling for bullshit AI detectors that don't (and can't) work?

The satirically brilliant Genius AI detector correctly indicates it is not AI

I know you know this, but for those reading, these detectors are bullshit.

Damn, that is depressing. What a shitshow we've created.
