Anyone who interacts with computers in a different way is someone a UX person must sit with and a developer should sit with. Instead of opening ourselves to new ideas, we tend to do what the folks in the thread did: attack the author as wrong, say the author is overstating the problem because a parent is just fine right this second or just get upset anyone would attack Apple/ Brand I Have Attached Myself To.
