Sometimes I'm blocked on something so I can't write any code, so I just say that I was blocked. Sometimes I have meetings all day and I didn't write any code so I say that I was in meetings all day and didn't get to work on any tickets. If I genuinely didn't do any work and wasn't blocked or in meetings, I just repeat the previous day's update. For example on Monday I worked on ticket ABC-001 and Tuesday morning my update was "yesterday I worked on ABC-001, today I'll continue on ABC-001, no blockers", and then I secretly went to the beach that day. Wednesday morning I will say "yesterday I continued on ABC-001 and today I should have a PR by end of day, no blockers".
