Well that was a trip back into the late 80s/early 90s! Shadow of the Beast, Test Drive, Defender of the Crown, Pool of Radiance... that's what took up my time during my introverted high school days.

Another great way is EmuVR which allows you to make a virtual bedroom with 80s computers and invite friends over to play. All in immersive VR.

Wow, EmuVR looks awesome!!

Says 2d monitor too so you don’t have to have any VR gear/setup is that correct?

Correct yes it works in 2D technically but it is absolutely amazing in VR.

You can even bend right over to the screen and see the subpixels on the TV. It's really well done. You can feel the love this was created with. Really mindblowing. And all free (though I patreon them, as do many others)

I hope someone makes this for retro computers also at some point, like PDPs, Amigas etc. This one can technically do some of those but it's really focused on retro gaming.

It’s amazing how vibrant the global Amiga community is. I just attended the inaugural Kickstart event in Nottingham - what a great community of people and active development of both software and hardware.

My personal favourites were [1]the GoDrive1200 which lets you keep your OG floppy drive and use a gotek (switchable) and ideal for this application [2] Andrews incredible Immortal Joysticks - I expect it to outlive me, and with a standard 9 pin connector you can even use it (oh the horror :) on an Atari ST!

What was the event you attended in Nottingham? Assume you mean Nottingham, UK? That's where I am, would love to see some Amiga things. I've been a fan since around 1987.

There's also a tournament taking place monthly or so I think, through that website, which is an amazing idea. I keep meaning to sign up but I'm afraid I'm gonna get beaten up badly, I don't want to ruin my memory of being good at those games :P

this is an awesome project. i frequently stop by https://twitch.tv/amigalive for my nostalgia amiga fix.

Browser based WASM version - please!
