It depends why you think there might not be a solution. If you have enough experience and have a gut feel then do something simple and quick to prove the gut feel or put your hand up and say that you don't know how to approach it.
If you are not experienced then your battle is with fear and depending on the cause, a good way of getting past that is to work with others who can encourage you when you do well and help you understand when you are going awry and why.
And ultimately, don't bullshit. Be honest about what you think and how you might approach something and if the boss isn't convinced, let them give the job to someone else.
