One thing that bothers me a little is that while the game asks for the player character’s name up front, the first officer keeps addressing the captain as “sir” throughout the game.
From the player’s point of view, it might feel more inclusive to let them choose between “sir” or “ma’am” or just “captain,” or alternatively hard-code the latter.
