Returning back on topic, for sure the current LLM era is exciting and moving at an exponential rate. We’re going to see many changes on how various tasks are being performed, but I don’t see human jobs disappearing, it’s just that they’re going to be different and smaller.
Take for example text translation, subtitles creation, audio transcription where the bulk of the work will be done by “intelligent” software, but the control and verification needs a human.
Learning carpentry is IMO one of the greatest life skills available.
You can build shelter, and good shelter at that. It's fun, interesting, mentally, physically, challenging work. It's a great thing to learn and it can be incredibly rewarding.
