I agree with the original article "Mental Illness Is Not In Your Head" on this one. Brains are not self-sufficient machines, they depend on a specific environment to function optimally. We are social creatures basically. Biological psychiatry was able to solve a few trivial cases, saving a lot of lives, but such approach is proving to be limited. Biology is still important, one day we might be able to re-engineer humans for new environments, but for now you need to also look outside to understand the problem.
