Swiss trains are not bad and they are undoubtedly kept clean, but the punctuality is rather a myth. Especially commuter trains regularly have significant delays.
Swiss trains are not bad, but not necessarily "better" than other railways in Europe and certainly not "best".
I have been a commuter on some big commuter lines for 15+ years and it is actually very punctual.
I have also been on trains in a bunch of different places and I never been in a place where I thought, man train travel here is better then in Switerland.
Some inner city transport is certainty better in many places.
The guy who made this video is the opposite of a tourist board member, he is somebody that has spend most of his live traveling around.
That argument apply to any country. I am not sure which numbers, maybe you can link them.
Your personal experience seems to differ quite a bit from mine, as I can't say Swiss trains are better than your average (Central) European trains. They may be a bit cleaner, but that's about it.
I like French TGVs better than our Swiss IC trains. Yes, we are a small country and perhaps we don’t need such fast trains as TGV… but aren’t they beautiful!
I haven't really used the commuter trains that much besides the Geneva-Zurich train. I think the Swiss trains are much better than the Dutch, French and British trains. The British trains are really bad (makes crazy amount of noise)
