Ironically, you're being downvoted and right now your text is grey.

Yeah, maybe I should reconfigure the default theme to light mode and try to add the CSS prefers-color-scheme media query.

For now, if you want, you can click the circle in the upper right to toggle to light mode.

I second your discomfiture at gray text.

Firefox has "Reading mode" button right in URL box. Both on desktop and mobile. Enjoy!

Thought of that after posting and closing the tab. But I don't feel like going back. It makes me angry that people think making text as hard to read as possible is good design. But it's just my opinion, and it's OK for people to have differing opinions. I just choose not to spend my time and eyeballs on their content.
