What's in French Alsace?

Why so many of them are going there/coming back from there?

Secret james bond villains meeting lol?

You don't hear much about Alsace in France doesn't seems like there is anything going on there usually. it's weird

> secret villain meeting

haha don't be silly, does this look like the a secret meeting place for rich people to you?

Wait a minute...

The truth is there are many towns and cities which are favorited by elites and oligarchs who may or may not have some security concerns. There is a town near Lausanne full of Thai royals and oligarchs (I'm forgetting the name). Zug is home to some billionaires from commodities and finance. It would be fun to make a list.

> It would be fun to make a list.

This is how you get on a list.

French Alsace is where the combined Swiss French airport is close to the city Basel.

Since we (Swiss) don't care^M are neutral, they are welcome here to conduct whatever these people do. :(

>they are welcome here to conduct whatever these people do

That's NOT true. If they are searched by the EUROPOL/ICC we hold them as ~anyone else.

BUT we don't do something because we think we don't like them.

It's important and the point that Swiss diplomats are respected to be neutral and often the only remaining and trusted contacts for talks....

Recent Example:

Probably because it's the nearest airport to Basel in Switzerland.

It is actually the combined airport for the border region with passport controls into the three different countries Switzerland (Basel), France and Germany. A bit confusing at first, but pretty nifty.

Looking on the linked map on ADS-B Exchange, this is the airport of Mulhouse-Basel at the boarder between France and Switzerland. So the people can go either in Europe or in Switzerland.

The French like it very much that there isn't "anything going there usually".

They flew into Basel. It's much likely that they are in Switzerland than in Alsace.

I thought it was interesting that this sort of data is so easily accessible.

Not really "pure" politics. It's a fun visualization and tracking project that uses public data. Maybe a reader will want to take it further. Similar to the recent headlines made by the guy tracking Elon's plane.

This is taking an interesting approach to finding and visualizing data, and for a topic of interesting worldwide concern at the moment. Your comment immediately ignores that and latches onto the politicization of it, flagged.

Just a worldwide concern which is not political at all.

The sky isn’t falling, nothing to see here.
