IMHO the things that OP wanted should not be part of the website:
Narrower columns? Adjust the width of your browser window.
Nicer Fonts? Those should be a user preference, not served by website - I see the OP agrees with this...
Dark Mode? That should be a function of the DE, or maybe the browser, but not the web site.
Everything about this work says "I want to control the look of web pages on my end."
