I haven't picked up PC Gamer in a while, but I remember a few years back, all the "Sim" and "Tycoon" type games were under the genre: Management

Yeah, like a lot of genres it didn't end up collecting enough memorable entries to stay a distinct genre over the decades. Was definitely a thing for a while though.

iirc populous was in the strategy genre at review time
