Holy crap! this brings back memories. I actually did this many years ago with real logic gates, eventually ending up with a 4-bit CPU that could address an entire 16 nybbles of RAM. That was so much fun!


same! We actually built an 8-bit cpu, and while debugging some very strange, seemingly random bit flips, learned why you coil wires.


I would love to be able to get as close as possible to the "feel" of working with actual physical components.
