I don’t know where you get your statistics, but I love Terra and use it all of the time. It is the default fastest model in ChatGPT/Codex today. I saw today a notice saying that the model had hit capacity briefly

You are aware that a 1 trillion parameter model won’t run on any quantity of consumer hardware, even heavily quantized… you need a data center for that. And that is not even to talk of the Kimi K3 model which is in the ballpark of 3 trillion

You don’t need a datacenter. 1T model requires 1T of RAM. Not easy to come by today in a compact factor but nowhere near the datacenter.

> 1T model requires 1T of RAM

assuming 8 bits per weight, but 4bits is commonly used once you get to that scale.

You do not need a data center - just a single rack will do to run it fast. Or about 100x 5090s.

Mostly just Codex

Disgusting that dehumanising Israelis has become a past time of people on this website. Having stared down Hezbollah flags in Israel’s north and having friends living on the border under constant fire many of whom have had damage to their homes, I have no confusion of who Hezbollah is. If you have any soul, how about you speak to the families of the half a million Syrians that Hezbollah helped Assad’s regime to murder? Or the Lebanese about the enormous 2020 port explosion?

How did hezbollah come to exist in what was a christian nation not that long ago? How would it be erased and without a new one propping up right outside that exclusion zone?

> a christian nation not that long ago?

Gosh .. Leaving aside a history of human occupation going back to 5,000 BC or so and looking just at more recent history, Lebanon came under Ottoman rule in the early 16th century and that "proto state" became a concentration area for Lebanese Maronite Christians who (IIRC) made up only 25% or so of the population.

I think it would be better described as a nation with Christians (and other faiths) rather than as a purely Christian nation.

There's also the post WWI Mandate for Syria and the Lebanon, administered by France, followed by the post WWII new Lebanese state that gained gained independence from Free France - that was a balancing act between multiple religious groups and also hardly a purely Christian nation.

As to the question asked, Hezbollah was founded in 1982 directly as a result of the Israeli invasion of Lebanon.

That's a very light on detail overview - it's just cans of worms all the way down.

I talked to a Lebanese born person once and apparently they have a parlament with reserved seats for each major religious group.

Apparently that was the only way they managed to keep the country stable. But it is baffling to have religion so entrenched on the constitution.

> keep the country stable

Well, that part didn't exactly work out in practice.

More stable than outright civil war.

>who (IIRC) made up only 25% or so of the population. >I think it would be better described as a nation with Christians (and other faiths) rather than as a purely Christian nation.

The total was the majority of the population and yes it wasn't a purely christian nation. https://www.economist.com/sites/default/files/images/print-e... You can similarly describe various countries as multifaith but in practice it happens rarely. Very few people descibe israel as such for example.

At the end of the day if hezbollah is vanquished and for that the frontier is shifted why is the expectation not that a new one in kind props up outside of this new frontier?

You accuse me of dehumanizing people while Israel is considering Palestinians just existing, politically offensive. No amount of propaganda and internet censorship can overcome the first live streamed genocide in history, and everybody can see [1] a repeat now in Lebanon, Israels reputation is done.

Also criticism of the government of Israel's actions ISN'T dehumanizing Israelis, THAT is insulting, I can be critical of Trump all day every day without anybody thinking I want harm to come to American people.

[1] https://edition.cnn.com/2026/04/24/middleeast/lebanon-destru...

Israel does not consider Palestinians existing as offensive. Don’t straw-man me

And yet you were not critical of Netanyahu. You chose to be critical of Israelis… Don’t hide behind lies

What does this allow importing from? It isn’t clear

Claude Code, Since that's in the video

Who knows what their release strategy will be. This is still only a canary release. Don’t put your horse before your cart

This is silly IMHO. They haven’t released a new official Bun version with this code yet. It is a canary release. Give them a chance to figure it out and try it out and see how the limited number of production users of bun as a runtime experience the move. If it succeeds, this will massively accelerate development and they will have much to teach us all about how to safely code 1M lines with AI and merge it in days. If it fails, we will know that AI isn’t ready for that yet

I’m honestly confused. What is it that you think makes these workers “more evil” than Google and Facebook workers from the early 2010s?

Google and Facebook workers just made a lot of cash and mostly made everyone's life harder by Leetcode and bad interview process, they didn't threaten and actively work to put millions of SE on the street.

> they didn't threaten and actively work to put millions of SE on the street

Programmers in the 90s weren't less evil or had a stronger moral compass. They simply didn't have the opportunity to reduce the need for their fellow developers on a massive scale. They (we) would have, had we had the chance.

They (we) did it to tons of other industries. And we collectively patted ourselves on the back, saying that automation is a good thing and we're the good guys for doing it and people who lost their jobs will adapt and maybe they should just learn to code.

Now it's happening to (some of) us and suddenly it's evil?

No. The point is: programmers are whores. We like to act all righteous on forums, but very very few of us care enough about the consequences of our code to do something about it.

We either don't think about it ("what could go wrong?"), don't care about it (eh), justify it ("I need to eat!!!", "I'm just following orders"), or actively embrace it ("It's the future!").

> Programmers in the 90s weren't less evil or had a stronger moral compass. They simply didn't have the opportunity to reduce the need for their fellow developers on a massive scale. They (we) would have, had we had the chance.

Nah. The fact that such opportunity wasn't available attracted a different sort of person.

And definitely not more evil than the workers at current Meta.

This should be banned on this platform. If you are against Altman or his values or morals, that is fine, but calling others who do feel aligned with him immoral… well that kind of hate leads to attempts on Altman’s life of which we have already seen one. You better stop with this behaviour before you encourage others to do actions that you will regret

we can't say CEOs have bad morals now?

Altman has trash morals

You don't understand why people are upset at an individual that is proudly proclaiming that 100s of millions of Americans will become unemployed and there is nothing to do be done about it? In a country where being unemployed is a literal death sentence?

What kind of responses do you expect in return? I'm sorry but everyone in his orbit needs to be publicly shamed as well. These people are ghouls and we're seeing them create the next generation of ghouls in real time.

Lol, lmao, shut up idiot.

(exactly as lowbrow of a response as your nonsense deserves)

lol you’re a moron. Altman actively promotes neofeudalist ideas and has shown time and again he does not care about safety or human wellbeing. Sociopathic narcissists like him will be the downfall of our species.

The evil Islamic regime has kept 90 million Iranians offline for more than 25 days now
