I think Trello is vastly overrated. We have been using AgileZen http://www.agilezen.com/ and find it much more effective. Trello has some nice features, but I think that the cards get too busy very quickly. It becomes hard to scan the tasks and details get lost on the back of the card.

Im a Brit that used to get 30 days paid plus public holidays who is now working in the US at a tech company that has no vacation policy. I love my job and work long hours and often some weekends. I have a family and love to travel, but I much prefer the environment that I work in today. I am very ambitious and want the company that I am working for to do well and I want to do well. I am prepared to put a number of years hard work in with little or no vacation as there will hopefully be a much bigger upside at the end of it. If you want 20-30 days holiday a year that you take, then consider what opportunities you are missing. I think FullContact's 15 days paid PAID policy is excellent and strikes a good balance, but Europe has gone too far. I believe the Mediterranean countries are going to get left behind in turns of development and could end up looking like 3rd world countries in 50 years from now unless the work ethic/culture changes significantly.

WOW! Just downloaded, watched the video and tried it out. Simply brilliant. Only one extra feature request/tweak - instead of defaulting for a meeting location when using the "suggest times to meet button" could it also have an option for my conference call number as a lot of my meetings are by phone.

awesome, thanks!

we'd like to have the locations dialog remember your previous entries (and making your phone number one of those options is a great idea) in a future update.

All of the advisors I have recruited so far have not asked for anything in return they have just been happy to help. This document is great for when you really want to engage with an advisor, but think the equity ratios are not only dependent on the stage of the company, but many other factors such as team, product and prior experience. Be interesting to see how this develops and is probably something I would use to try and offer more of an incentive to some of the advisors that I want to get real value from.

Really great post. I studied Arabic for 15 months at the British Military language school and after working as a "Terp" I went on to run the policy for language support to the British Military. I encourage you to continue with your studies as the more time you spend learning the language the more rewarding it becomes. Once you start to move away from MSA and learn dialects it becomes much easier to speak, but even harder to listen. Good luck and great post.

Even better - don't try and get a job, create them.

The NHS in the UK was designed to be a healthcare system free at the point of delivery. It has become such a part of British life that I would say it is now part of British culture. However, it has grown into something that cannot be sustained in the long term and now people cannot imagine ever paying for healthcare. I am now living in the US and have very good insurance and have access to far superior facilities when I was in the UK, but if I had to choose between the 2 systems I would choose the NHS every time. Access to basic healthcare should not be a privilege, but a right. I know the costs may seem prohibitive, but how can anyone justify not providing it whilst spending billions on defense? Surely spending money to save lives is better than spending money to take them.

The NHS is the closest thing modern UK has to a religion.

Anyone else noticed lots of VC's and Angels tweet when they are flying somewhere? How about driving to the airport they are flying into and waiting for them to come through the arrivals gate holding a sign with their name on. A free ride to wherever they are going in return for hearing your pitch. Considered doing this, but my gut tells me this is just too stalker like to work. Think it would freak me out if someone did it to me.

That is an awesome idea. As long as the person wasn't creepy and I didn't already have a ride, anybody trying to get my attention for a business proposition could get it this way. But I agree that it would be better if they emailed..."I see you're hitting LAX tomorrow. I know you've been busy. Can I give you a lift to wherever you're headed from the airport and get that 10 minutes I've been looking for?" Awesome.

I had a friend who did this to a (really) prominent angel investor, but planned it on twitter first. It apparently went great.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jOjDzFWsgFo here is the advert and the app http://apps.facebook.com/cocacolalike/home.php The advert does not say that much about the app. Basically the more you like stuff the better it is for your heart and health as liking things makes us feel good and others as they receive likes, so go ahead and start liking today, tomorrow and everyday. The like-o-meter keeps showing you everyday and then they start listing different users number of likes etc etc. No pro-Mubarak stuff at all, in fact they even show some footage of a protester standing in front of a riot van. Let me know if you want more info and good luck.

Thank you so much! Sounds like a good ad.

It sounds like they're describing the concept in the same way that we do.

Shame that they're squeezing their branding into the revolution. Glad it was just one shot of that.

I speak Arabic, taking a look for you now.
