a nitpick: absurd seems to be an original earendil project they started before Mario Zechner joined earendil, I don't see him in the commits too

but I might not know all the details, I'm genuinely curious

You could call Armin a Pi dev in all honesty. He has a fair number of commits.

how it compares to pocketbase, a paas in go that is also a single binary. the obvious part is the sqlite vs postgres, but still, the blog doesn't tell much, and PB seems like a very fitting comparison

Deepseek API caches very efficiently itself. I use it heavily via pi agent, and a lot of times I get 99%+ caching for longer sessions.

Have you tried using Deepseek API via other agents? This project tbh looks like a S-tier slop

I have used it with OpenCode and was good enough.

perhaps they refer to Claude code being built on top of a React renderer for terminals, Ink https://github.com/vadimdemedes/ink

and is riddled with timeouts and intervals in useffects

yes, this is pretty much just rerouting Claude to call Deepseek's Anthropic-style-compatible endpoints instead of its own defaults Once removed, it'll work just like before

how well does it do on frontier models like Opus 4.6?

I have only done functionality testing, no benchmark testing on Opus (decided to pay my rent instead)
