Is it faster to send prints than using the cloud Bambu service?

I only sent one test print through Bambu so I can't make a comparison, but it's <10s from clicking print to the printer starting its warmup dance.

Speed is not why I set my printer up this way though. I live in a state that may ban 3D printers unless they include invasive surveillance, so I wanted to get a high end pre-ban printer in case that becomes law.

Have you read their open source attributions?

Listened to him all the time. RIP

I wonder how far we are from the agents just maintaining the packages

We have some packages like that, starting with rsync which distributions are having to roll back because it turned into a pile of garbage overnight.

Qwen 3.6 is virtually indistinguishable from Claude on my 5090

What kind of codebase do you work on (number of lines?). How many tokens does your local context support?

Maybe your statement is true for smaller codebases and shorter conversations, but I’d be surprised if you actually achieve good results on millions of lines of code with a million token context.

Granted if your setup works well for your workload then that’s all you need.

You’re going to be counting for many many years

Even on a 5090 qwen is really impressive. Felt as good as Claude for little projects.

Can you make it so "exit cockpit" navigates to a route rather than execute a back on the browser, as it takes me back to the hacker news page when I push it.

Also took me about 5 minutes to find the cockpit view button after I'd selected a flight but that might be a me problem :)

> Also took me about 5 minutes to find the cockpit view button after I'd selected a flight

Same here. Should be more prominent for a brand new feature!

Exit Cockpit disabled; No parachutes available

Thank you for the suggestion and I just modified that behavior.

i came here to comment on the exit=back too

and i'd like metric measurement too

How complex are we talking? I one shotted a game boy emulator in <6 minutes today

There are countless reference examples online, that's just a slower, buggier, and more expensive git clone.

Yep. If you ask Claude to create a drop-in replacement for an open-source project that passes 100% of the test suite of the project, it will basically plagiarize the project wholesale, even if you changed some of the requirements.

try one shotting something actually original and see how it goes

i keep getting nonsense

A full emulator in 6 minutes? I gotta call BS... I've been working on a SPC700 audio editor in the background as a side project, and implementing the cpu has taken at least 2 hours, and I still haven't implemented all of the opcodes.

It’s basically a web browser machine, that’s fine.
