As a software engineer you may be lacking a sense of selfhood(outside of external validation and roles). You may find you are kind of a people pleaser, confident at work, but also privately resentful at times.
The software engineering job skips dealing directly emotional regulation, experiencing emotions and directly confronting others in vulnerable way or a negative way like boundaries.
Instead you are given a problem, and you can fix the problem, control the variables and see if your solution works logically and tangibly.
You cannot do this with people interactions. Emotional orbits, feelings, insecurities, needs, wants are messy overlap .. are not easily definable , and flux … software engineers may not thrive here I would guess.
AI may burst in terms of the subscription model pushed by large corporations here in the US. AI is here to stay as a technology, there is no question at this point that it is powerful effective and a transformative development in human history. Not sure where we go from here but AI is not going away.
This is just a waste of tax payer money and will have zero impact on safety. If anything malfunctioning pepper spraying drones is more likely than an active shooter.
This is a mistake. The last 2 doom games sold quite well and have a unique look and feel that is associated with idtech.

These features suck on the few American cars I have seen them. In Florida using a rental driving to Orlando area my vehicle constantly told me to get my eye’s back on the road or to take a driving break. I was on a highway driving completely normal. Just annoying dashboard warnings over and over.
The only feature I like so far is the slight shake of the wheel if crossing over a lane.
Either this tech is janky/new or is just honestly not needed and distracting.
I have found this to be true. I manage an organization with around 600 Apple laptops and now when setting them up I always increase the cursor size slightly. No one complains and it does appear to be a smoother experience.
Yes it’s hard to see Microsoft become what feels to me a shell of what it once was. Back in the day I got MCP certification and MCSA certification for server 2008/2003.
I managed fleets of windows devices and felt Windows and PC’s were efficient and had a good balance of an operating system and schema that is powerful and effective.
With windows 11.. it’s like an all time low emerged. Where I am just fighting against a platform trying a variety of gimmicks designed to extra rents and push tools that are not really all that useful or polished.
Windows 11 feels bloated and just feels like a struggle.
For me it really is the time of Linux. Whether it be a workstation, a server or even a simple kiosk… Linux just seems to embrace the ethos of what windows has left behind.
Agree, I just meant on the pricing. I like the rpi, have hads lots of fun with the rpi4 making a custom home media player. Just at this price point not sure it makes much sense for as many people to play around with.
I use two rpi4 with a touchscreen and some relays connected to gpio to control my lights, speakers, heater, and with some USB-powered speakers I have internet radio (usable also as alarm) and I can see when the bus comes and set timers for cooking. Since the USB-powered speakers emit noise when not in use, I power down the USB port entirely when they are not in use. I use openbox to start my software and have a couple of python daemons to control the relays and decide what to turn on and off. Also they don't have a battery so I'm not in need to keep an eye on something that might explode.
