On tools, it’s kind of like car sharing. At first it felt impossible, but with the right setup people found ways to make it work, especially for those bigger tools you don’t use every day.

And with materials, you’d be surprised how much good stuff gets tossed during renovations: paint, tiles, doors, cabinets, even lumber. A lot of it could easily be reused instead of ending up in the dumpster.

That’s really the heart of it, helping give those extras a second life and cut down on waste.


there was/is site that allowed to rent out photo/video equipment. are you familiar with it and all the issues that it had ?


Those gear-rental platforms like ShareGrid definitely highlighted the tricky parts: trust, insurance, and keeping expensive equipment in good shape. Makes sense that similar concerns would come up here too. They also ran into headaches like damage or missing-item claims, uneven gear quality, unpredictable logistics, and not-great customer support on occasion.
