Not many mountains here in Auckland, lots of volcanoes plus one major (and often choked) road in and out though.

We (NZ) had -1 new cases a couple of days ago, it's working pretty well.

Did someone realise that one of the cases wasn't actually a case?

Yes

Unfortunately though it's no longer a bargain between state and individual inventors for the most part.

From what ive gathered it is no longer a system that can be used meaningfully by you or me, either to get a useful patent or to enforce an infringed one.

Personally I feel weird talking at my phone in a public place, but to each their own

Good pedestrian navigation (which needs pedestrian road/pathway networks that haven't been built to the same extent as they have for roads, though in some countries like Japan they are much better) doesn't need constant interaction. You'd just be wearing your regular headset and you'd occasionally hear "at the next intersection, take the traffic light on your left, cross the road and continue down xxx street"

Anecdotal, in NZ, myself and people I know are having strange dreams and not taking medication.

Come to think of it, my partner has been having strange dreams too and she never takes so much as paracetamol or coffee.

Personally I think it's a combination of isolation and stress.

> WSL extension allows for the VS Code UI to run on the Windows side with a VS Code Server running within the WSL VM

This was why I have finally switched away from developing on windows, there's something about the VS remote code server setup that will spawn tons of processes and eventually slow WSL to a crawl. Possibly my fault, I haven't gone through all my extensions and settings carefully, but also not an issue when running VS code on unix without the server.

This ignores how far the market place has listed to one side already. At this point in time I find it a little hard to summon empathy for billionaires.

Just stop with this billionaires argument please and framing it as workers vs. billionaires. I am more talking about families who will have to pay more now to address some of the Union's demands.

Don't forget the occasional translateY for good measure!

CSS grid is a lifesaver, but grid-gap does not replace margin unless you have a very regular design.

I was in this boat for 8 years or so before starting a company and hiring a second developer. I lucked out and got a highly research driven one to learn from, and I gotta say I've learned a ton in 2 years. Even if it's harder in some ways than being solo, I think it's been worth it to have that pressure to improve code and processes. I was kind of coasting before if I'm honest, even though I felt like I was really good at my job.
