Yes similar here, async operation that could be quick enough not to warrant a busy state, but not all the time. So rather than show a flash of busy state, that makes the ui look janky when the operation is quick, show the busy state for a minimum amount of time
My old ford tourneo custom has a well placed phone holder. I use this and a MagSafe charger plugged into usb port on dash. Works great, I can use my phone, or anybody else can use the van and their phone, it’s really easy. Just looked and newer models have great big touch screen instead :(

Or even good woolen jumper can make a big difference. Something light so you don’t notice your wearing it but with good insulating properties and you retain a lot more of your own body heat than a cotton or synthetic top.
Could this be the same tooltip issue I see everyday on Thunderbird? I must use Firefox differently but in Thunderbird I'm often left with a tooltip telling the date of the last message I was looking at after changing to a different app.
Used Comlink for a small toy project and made it really easy with very little change to move an expensive file merge off the main thread and do it in the background. Next time I use WebWorkers I'll probably use Comlink.
