There are some interesting developments happening here. Tools like divjoy blend the no-code/low-code paradigm with the ability to dive into actual code. The future will be a mixture of the two.
The visitor pattern ended up being a simple but powerful solution here. I'm curious to start exploring more design patterns and how they might be used in a UI context.

As for the js bundles, everything including webpack is managed by next.js, and it handles code splitting at the route level. I'd like to converge the /page and /character pages to reduce the network calls, but unfortunately its out of my control right now.
