Can it be reassigned under Settings / Keyboard shortcuts?

Yes, although it's buried among a huge number of other shortcuts now, and not particularly easy to search for.

Did they restore the functionality itself? Last time I checked the overlay was just straight up not a feature anymore.

Let the minions create scripts for you.

There are converters between different OSM formats and other formats (Garmin comes to mind). It depends on the target. E.g. here: https://www.mapfileconverter.com/free-gis-conversion-tools

Thanks, but I was interested more in the cross-app communication aspect rather than the data formats ( https://codeberg.org/comaps/comaps/wiki/Content-Provider ).

I once looked into building an app which piggybacked on CoMaps/OSMAnd's data (saving the user from having two copies of their maps, and me from having to duplicate the UI to manage them), but found that in modern Android it was basically impossible for even the user to access data/files that "belong" to an app, without rooting the device.

Thanks for the reminder that ContentProvider is the Android term I couldn't remember when I wrote my other comment here.

And the reminder that I should have added this to my list:

3. A ContentProvider app for OSM map data, so that apps can share the same offline map data.

It's a pre-IPO PR stunt. Everyone is talking about it. Goals achieved.

It's actually quite fast, more bandwidth than NVIDIA RTX 4090 at 1.0 TB/s according to https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/gpu-memory-... Compute power will still be different, though.

The thread you're replying to is asking about the 170GB/sec memory bandwidth of the base M6, not the faster spec of the Ultra chips.

For max memory bandwidth you need to buy the Ultra versions (M5 Ultra: 1,2TB/s, this gets comparable to real GPUs regarding the memory bandwidth).

Better use zswap, as zram and swap together can lead to priority inversion. https://chrisdown.name/2026/03/24/zswap-vs-zram-when-to-use-... (found via lwn.net)

it depends on what you want to do. in my case I only want disk swap to be used for hibernation. I calibrated the system to make do with the very generous zram compression ratio of 3 and if it doesn't work out a userspace OOM killer will fix it. zswap will be polluting your SSD all the time.

Come on, there were people using Gerrit instances (which had better PR UI than GH implementation) for good reasons even before GitHub became popular.

Article: In October, Parias was leaving his home and driving down the street when federal agents — including from ICE and the U.S. Marshals Service — used their vehicles to box him in, according to the criminal complaint.

Body-worn camera footage captures the ICE officer approaching Parias’ passenger side door and almost immediately stating that he’s going to “break the window.” As the officer smashes the window, the car begins to rev, later sending smoke billowing into the air. The officer pulls out his gun soon afterward, holding it in one hand as he smashes the window at the same time with the other.

The complaint alleged that when the rear of the car began to “fishtail,” it “caused the agents to fear that PARIAS may lose control of the Camry and hit them.” A Homeland Security Investigations agent wrote that Parias’ acceleration of the Camry “caused debris (likely rubber being shed from the tires themselves) to fly into the air, which struck some of the agents.”
