I have the same problem and I wondered what if the chatty output is a requirement for its (better?) reasoning capabilities?

Maybe they want you to feel how much better Opus 5 is :)

I wondered how watermarks are in the interests of the AI companies, but now it is more clear to me as there are two benefits:

first, they can skip them for training and

second, the AI output can be licensed to reduce, or at least detect, that if output is used as training data for other (more open) models.

"great again" comes after them.

Why not sell a fully operational car as a used car and buy a new electric vehicle? Then, when looking into all cars, the fleet will get one more electric vehicle, but at the same time fully operational cars are still used until the end.

I would like to get rid of it in the next few years but all new cars have only touch screen and phone home. Are there "stupid" e-cars too? I don't need much.

Pretty much all new cars incorporate touch screens - that's the wrong thing to look at. What's important is if they retain physical/tactile controls for the things that matter (or matter to you). There are a number of cars out there that still have old-fashioned controls - Hyundai Kona is on my list for that reason.

Hot does not necessarily mean good solar production. Solar production in winter can be equally good (although days are shorter).

Also the efficiency of panels decreases with higher temperatures.

Efficiency loss from solar panels heating up in sunlight is more than compensated by the sunlight.

The problem with digital writing is that you loose spatial orientation because of panning and zooming. At least I think this is the reason why I sometimes prefer pen and paper.

I'm skeptical. How can a one time payment be sustainable when they offer 24/7/365? I'm also unsure how they got such a high valuation with this clear drawback.
