I run https://careermove.to

Career Move is building a next-generation platform to help startups scale their recruiting efforts without scaling their recruiting team first.

Career Move's marketplace matches talent to your company’s needs, in exchange for a reward – instead of paying for expensive recruiting firms, or an even more expensive in-house team, we think you should put that money toward incentivizing experts in the exact field you’re looking for to reach into their network of colleagues and refer them directly to you. In the meantime, you only pay when you see results.

Congratulations

Thank you!

If you are a seasoned software professional, who knows how to build stuff, and you are now looking to level up and become a Full Stack Entrepreneur, this course is for you.

I have been running careermove.io for a year now and currently makes $3,500 USD per month.

Building a profitable business is not hard. What is hard is choosing a profitable idea, building a community around it, and promoting it. The best way to figure it out is to work with people who have done it.

Making a career move is hard when you don’t have a guideline and support by your side.

Moving a career as a software engineer can be challenging. I struggled with a career path, moving from junior software developer to frontend developer, data engineer, senior full-stack developer, tech lead even when the tech difference isn’t that big, companies want that you have 100% experience in what they are hiring for.

I’ve been mentoring professionals working in different companies and various fields on how to make smart career moves.

During these mentoring sessions, a lot of common questions are coming up. That’s why I decided to create “Career Move For Software Developers”.

In this book, you will learn how to make a smart career move.

Please pre-order here - https://careermove.io/careermovefordev

Another thing that bothered me so much was career path as a software engineer.

We have:

- Junior

- Mid-level

- Senior

- Lead

- Principle Engineer - some good tech companies have this title

Unless you want to go into full-time management, that's where the road ends at most companies. You can hit this before you're 30.

Then what?

For me, I decided to become a founder (careermove.io) since I have held most of the roles.

If you are on the fence thinking to start something or finding it difficult to build a sustainable business, I would recommend you start with selling your knowledge - teach what you know.

You will make so much out of that especially if you're niche + you can help LOADS of people! You will build credibility and audience.

I can help you. When you pre-order the book + community package, I will personally be your accountability partner to help you build and monetise a product. We will have 1-on-1 weekly check-ins until you launch your own product.

Hello, I only see two gigs listed on the site. The rest seem to be blog posts? The Edit Profile button is not working for me on Chrome on Pixel 2, is the mobile site unfinished? Please add some details about how this is supposed to work!

Best regards, a longtime freelancer and consultant.

I will look into it

I have more jobs. I am yet to update the gigs listing. Right now, I am focused on finding freelancers for clients. I think that's more important than any other thing

With only one job posted, how many developers do you expect to attract? Likewise if I had a job available, seeing only one other company had employed your services I would be hesitant to send work to you.

Shouldn't this be automatic when a company creates a job?
