I have no idea what this is about. I see no stick figure or anything interactive, when I open this on my iPhone. I’d does say Idle below the reset button though. To make things worse, if you scroll down, you can’t scroll back to page top. I assume the main area intercepts the touch events, blocking scrolling…

Whenever a web page doesn't work I try a different browser. You can do that on an iPhone right?

I did not make the demo specifically for mobile browsers, but it does work rather well on my iPhone 16e with Safari and Chrome. I also tried it on my Pixel 10 and did not encounter any issues. The library itself is tiny ~250K so it should load right away.

It kills drag scroll over the flow text on my android

iPhones have different browsers, but they don't have different browser engines. It's WebKit or nothing.

LOL sorry my bad. Should have been more specific. It’s a demo of my layout library. The stick figure is made with a few primitives to form a so-called exclusion assembly which causes texts to flow around them. But what’s unique about it is that these primitive parts can be controlled independently via programmatic control. This turns them into a little rig essentially. I thought it was funny and could be even useful so I shared it.

It's strange that happened. I had no issue loading it on my iPhone 16e in Safari or Chrome... Could it be somehow your browser prevent Javascript from loading?

It works on my Android phone with Vivaldi, though I need to be careful because the text doesn't allow me to scroll

i think, after shooting, it has to recharge. When recharged, the ship momentarily blink-expands in yellow. This means it is ready to fire again.

But sometimes, i been left without a recharge, and without shooting, and I don't know why.

I don't recall what was broken, but it was a few random things. I also added xrender image scaling on the window decorations, because they were hardcoded to a size that was tiny on modern DPI.

When I read the title, I was curious: is it about a business setting, or, maybe, about a private relationship / marriage context? As someone, who has walked away from more than one relationship, I see this perfectly applicable and sensible advice in both contexts, really. Thanks.

Always being ready to leave a relationship sounds like personality flaw, not sensible advice.

Being willing (even ready) to walk away from marriage completely defeats the point of about half of the intangible benefits of marriage.

Very much appreciated the essay. The abstract / meaning / story component of many current-day products (value propositions) these days is unbelievable. I’d like to understand it better.

Basically, if you want to create a successful product, you have to offer some kind of relatable and attractive story for people to buy. And it is not the same thing as producing a good product per se. I’m struggling with that. And see great many people around struggling too.

Sorry, but this title sounds overly click-baity to me. Google definitely can’t read or write my WhatsApp messages. Because I’m not using an Android/Google phone with WhatsApp on it. Although I am using both Gemini and WhatsApp, the whole article doesn’t apply to me, and surely I’m not unique in this.

I have tons of therapy experience (as a client) and value it. My budgeting could be way better, and I do see the parallel there, actually.

I'm running it right now, and haven't yet seen a single resulting artwork, but looking at the examples, I immediately hate the typical UI hotspots, like the top left (or top right) corner, toolbars on the left and such. I'd process the captured mouse coordinates and add a steady rotation to them (when the mouse is in motion), thus turning the art into a more abstract square (or circle, if you wish) form. Somewhat like the polar coordinates graphs, some of which are really cool.
