Permanent 25th Amendment is impossible. It requires two thirds of both houses which is more than impeachment. Amendment probably shouldn't have provided a mechanism and just required impeachment. Trump would have to be unable to respond or persuaded to resign.
One big reason to use credit card is that it gives window to settle problems. You have month to charge back before have to pay bank. If hotel places hold, it comes out of the credit limit not your bank balance. If someone makes fraudulent transactions, it isn’t your money and you can still pay rent.
If you pay the balance on time, you are getting free liquidity from the bank. But they get if you don’t pay off the balance.
USB-C doesn't provide power by default which is better design than USB-A always providing some power. The device needs to signal that it is a sink with 5.1k ohm resistors so the charger can turn on the power. There is also resistor to signal legacy USB charging to work with USB-A ports.

There's no such thing on the device. A power sink with a USB-C receptacle has two 5.1kΩ resistors, one on each CC line. A power sink with a USB-C plug has a single 5.1kΩ resistor. Always. That's it - anything else in on the power source (or cable) side.
You only need to bother with anything more on the sink side once you want to either sense what's the max current provided by the source (which you can do simply by measuring the voltage on CC pins), or implement PD.

I don't understand why the USB-C module that they are using doesn't include the resistors. Then they can replace the microUSB module with USB-C module and have it work.
Because putting a somewhat-precise resistor inside a connector is not trivial, and would likely double the price of the connector due to the increased complexity of manufacturing.
On the other hand: the resistor itself is basically free, and you are already putting a few dozen of them on your final PCB anyways. Adding one more resistor value barely changes the assembly process.
The people who are willing to skimp on USB-C resistors are definitely not going to splurge on a custom drop-in connector module, so it would not solve any real problem. The resistor-less devices are broken because their manufacturers do not care that they are broken. You can't engineer yourself out of that kind of greed and apathy.
There should also be training on how to avoid scams. They have gotten so common on the internet and it is easy for anyone to fall for greed or fear. I wonder if being wary about scams would help with cults.
Shopping works better on web sites because can open multiple tabs to browse multiple products. Especially important on big stores like Aliexpress and Amazon where need to compare lots of products. Desktop is better for that but mobile browsers are still better than apps.
We need large nation-states to make the modern world possible. The internet isn't just bits; everything depends on stuff that has to be shipped by sea. It takes a hegemon like the US and its allies to keep the sea lanes open. Navies are super expensive and a collection of small states wouldn't be able to build ships that could operate around the world.
If anything, technology is making possible for states like Yemen and Iran to shut off chokepoints. It might take multiple powers working together to keep things open.
This tally only makes sense if you believe history started 2 years ago. The US literally re-opened the Strait of Hormuz itself back in the 80s during the Tanker War, at the very least for Kuwaiti oil tankers during Operation Earnest Will.
The current administration clearly does not care about freedom of navigation operations, but every other post war administration made it a major priority and they are still being conducted in spite of the current cluster.
Its crazy to not see that as the result of more US interventions in the middle east blowing up in their face, than actually any kind of goodwill mission.
The thing that sucks about Google Music is that they could have merged them but kept the good parts of both. Youtube Music is still missing features of Google Music. It would have been more than "just", but Google Music with Youtube backend and branding would have worked. It is the backend song licensing they wanted to merge.
The same happened with Google Podcasts. Merged into Youtube Music, not even separate Youtube Podcasts, and it sucks.
The Wikipedia page says that China has deployed an eLoran network but I can't tell if used for navigation or just high-precision timing.
