Is it ok to send DMs to your side piece when your partner is away?

Employer relationships are not much different, if you choose to do it, do it on the sly or suffer the consequence ;)

If you are a contractor (bachelor) situation may be different...

I would say hiring is picking up now at least in europe. partially driven by re-arming and deep tech efforts.

think we gonna see a lot of AI interviews very soon, which I think is a bit meh, but probably better than what we had before with grinding leetcode, which is a complete waste of time.

already - I mean AI decoders on screening etc\.

right, but what I mean more specifically is AI assisted or conducted interviews and specifically in the EU, which is notoriously behind US on tech adoption.

Anything in physical world, digital is lost forever..

Robots will eventually encroach on physical too, then the subset will shrink to "physical world with required human interaction".

For me the question now is whether we will ever get a place where humans will prefer to interact with embodied AI robots over other humans.

My read is that If your codebase needs a lot of unsafe - on intersection of hw, need a lot of memory allocations with custom memory allocators, can take advantage of comptime, using a lot of c dependencies anyway. Maybe zig makes sense? It's a very niche space.

Arch for last 5 years, never had issues, but I also buy laptops specifically with Linux support.

Pompous and full of air really sums it up well. As such I usually have to completely ignore and rework generated README / code comments.

Is this just an elaborate scheme to increase in/out token churn or are we hitting some kind of LLM limitations I wonder?

Code was garbage before AI, now it's still garbage, but I don't have to take it out anymore. Amazing.

Juniors are doomed, nobody is writing anything ever again by hand.

Still requires a human in the loop to make coffee...

Looking forward to being sent to a foggy planet in foreign start system to collect alien eggs for a daily nutripaste and bunk bed with corporate issuesd blanket.

depends on the industry .. for 80% of jobs 0 coding knowledge will be needed in 10 years.

for ai research, safety, aerospace, military, trading, gamedev .. those will probably still need coding for a bit longer.
