The much greater risk is burnt meat like chargrilled chicken etc. Yes sure, burnt toast is carcinogenic, but relatively speaking it's not going to cause much harm.

What ddr5 speed are you running? 6000 is technically an over clock, AMD only guarantees being able to run at something like 4800 or 5200.

You may need to bump up voltages slightly for your CPU's IMC (I needed to on my ryzen 8700F to run 6000 stable). Its CPU sample dependant.

Also as other commenter pointed out, typically 4 sticks will achieve lower stable clocks

I just yanked two of the sticks out. Who knows, maybe I'll sell them. 64gb is sufficient most of the time anyway, and now I'm running at 4800 instead of 3600 and the boot is much faster. Thanks AMD!

Some people simply have better hearing than others.

Also, you can train yourself for what to listen for, to a point.

Noted, but I think I'll pass. Doesn't seem to be much benefit if you have to train yourself to discern a difference just so you can stream massive files.

Of course this does matter to some people and I say "have fun".

ReactOS also deserves an honorary mention. A lot of knowledge from that project feeds into Wine.

And vice-versa. It's pretty interesting that the two projects haven't kind of merged despite all the collaboration.

Wine devs do not want to work with people who have looked at ReactOS[0] (see at the end) so any collaboration is one-way (or by ignoring the guidelines) and the likelihood of the two projects merging is zero.

Surprised no one responded to the 7th comment in that linked email thread, the author brought up a good point about making progress without using any disassembled windows binaries.

Very different projects so I would not encourage a merge but sharing a code base? I can totally see that being a boon for both and other Windows emulation projects.

ReactOS periodically rebases some of it's libraries from Wine.

I heard BSD is dying?

Qt is arguably the best cross platform toolkit to target when writing big/complex apps

This sounds like a USA problem..

I have definitely seen people use speakers in countries other than the USA.

1 of n problems.

You're absolutely right.

When opening a jpg, it literally says "importing pic.jpg" when opening a jpg

Exactly. That's my point.

When saving, it simply should say "Exporting pic.jpg".

What about microplastics?

What about them?

They are toxic.

Well, good thing you aren't drinking it then, because the complete lack of electrolytes would kill you far faster than the microplastics. Surely if they can chemically purify the water to chip-making standards they can filter out the microplastics (when they are done with it)? At least one can hope.
