Let me choose location manually.

I wish my browser let me do this by default. Rather than "let this site know your location?" it should be "select a location to give to this site".

(I'm sure there are extensions and/or developer options that do this, but it's the default I want)

I'm certainly not giving my exact GNSS coordinates to any random scrote who askes for them. Frankly I'm amazed some people do this.

I just installed Ubuntu 26.04 and it's gimp starts for 14 seconds.

After the first run (where it has to evaluate plugins etc) it starts in under 4s on 26.04 on my Lenovo P53 (laptop from 2019). Which is admittedly not exactly snappy, but it's OK IMO.

This was my third run.

Is the Ubuntu version of GIMP distributed as a snap package? I've had horrible performance with snap apps.

I repeatedly use the three-layer layout shown here across my other repositories as well. If this repository were a living organism, it would have many "sister" repositories sharing the same DNA, and I wanted to reflect that connection.

Yup, but then you have other limitations, like significantly worse high speed range and correspondingly less useful soar charging.

It's trade offs regardless. Kei car sized EVs with solar have a niche, reasonably efficient full sized EVs with portable solar arrays have a niche, and hopefully Aptera will fill a third niche (higher speed/more usable range/more efficient than others with less storage/space)
