The issue is that we change our map file "format" with nearly every release, and handling that without crashing is already a job. For example if we add, say, bomb shelters to the map, an older app using that newer data will have access to it but no idea how to render it, which can cause problems (crashing, errors, blanks, etc.) So we have very specific versioning on a per-map-release / app-release basis, and that's just our project. We've already diverged from Organic Maps and even moreso from the (corporate, closed) Maps.me and living on a totally different data format planet from OsmAnd and Magic Earth. So it's a nice idea but extremely hard in practice.
I once looked into building an app which piggybacked on CoMaps/OSMAnd's data (saving the user from having two copies of their maps, and me from having to duplicate the UI to manage them), but found that in modern Android it was basically impossible for even the user to access data/files that "belong" to an app, without rooting the device.
You could probably score 100% on ARC 3 if you were motivated enough. I find some of the current problems to be kind of like Chess - mechanically simple, and ~solvable, but it's difficult to force myself to think at length about a monotonous and meaningless problem. The machines do have an advantage on the "energy" front; they've become almost psychotically persistent (and don't get tired after too many prompts).
Anyway yes I think we've had AGI for a while now, even if the GI doesn't quite match up with what we expect from a human.

No it wouldn't... the projectile is still launched by the same angular motion of an arm and a sling basket the power for the rotation just comes from a different source.
the "shot you've been waiting for" was sort of anticlimactic, but the two plywood arm shots after show what it actually sounds like. I think the grass and tree dulled the sound a lot on the metal arm.
I actually have a camera that can shoot that at high speed (1200fps), but i'm sure other people have better cameras these days, mine has very low resolution.
Slow Mo Guys have a Phantom that rocks up around 1.5 million FPS. They've used it to show how glass cracks etc. when you get to that speed though, you need a LOT of light, and a very low resolution.
i dont imagine the low resolution is per se essential the same way the light is. you could maybe figure out ways of syncing the data collection to match each other at that high of speed
It is because the main limitation for high speed digital video is the bandwidth of the pipeline from sensor to storage. Lowering the resolution increases the number of frames you can shove through the X Gbps pipe between the photons hitting the sensor and the highspeed memory the camera is buffering into.
Most phones won't boot without the battery. Obvious workaround is to connect a power supply (and large cap) directly to the BMS, but in my experience most phones will shut themselves down when they think they've drawn more than the capacity of their battery, even if the voltage is still high. You can sometimes get around that by rebooting the device every couple of hours (and there might be a software/firmware fix in some cases?), but it's a lot less annoying to just accept a small risk of a house fire.
You could throw the phone in an ammo canister, if the wifi AP is close enough. When I was building hobby quadcopters, which requires several ~half-pound batteries that are a chemistry optimized for maximum power density, a lot of guys recommended steel ammo cans for battery storage.
Depends on how well the canister insulates it. Steel conducts heat fairly well; it'd get hot inside but I'd guess some airflow around the canister would probably keep it from getting hot enough to cook the electronics. (definitely don't take my word for it lol)
Phones are very low power, likely just a slightly warm spot on the can that radiates, conducts, and convects the heat out. You could also use one of those peltier module phone coolers, to ensure the heat gets out of the phone and into the air faster.

Agree! But do get one or two of those "small automatic fire extinguisher" or whatever they are, that you can attach on stuff, for electrical panels and what not, and put right next to it together with a traditional fire alarm, and you're good to go :)
I don't think it's been shrunk, I think there just aren't enough high karma posts to fill the default (filtered) page. Old posts fall off due to karma decay and low quality posts get flagged or hidden by mods. I've seen it several times before (and thought to myself that it would be a good time to post).
With an unlimited budget, Kimi K3 (which is quite comparable to this Qwen Max imo). With a normal budget/a PC you might already have, probably Qwen 3.6 27B.
