I'd happily pay for a silent fridge with much less than a 20 year breakeven point.

Reading your and others comment I wonder what sort of refrigerators and freezers you have. Mine are about 10 years old now, Bosch, full height and whatever the best energy class was available at the time.

I'm very sound sensitive but rarely do I hear any noise from them unless I recently opened them for an extended period. Do we just have quieter appliances in Scandinavia than the rest of the world or something?

Why do these archive links never work for me?

Might be your ISP's DNS censoring the domain name, it happens to me for different ones depending on whether I am in Spain or in Germany at the moment when I click the link.

It might work if you manually change the TLD part of the URL.

What I did was get the IP address when it worked and add it to "/etc/hosts" so it works when on another network.
