Another hardware issue they have is the tip of the Marker Plus. It has a thin collar around the nib that (in my experience) is brittle and breaks off, at which point the marker becomes useless because the nib flexes. There are lots of posts on Reddit complaining about the same issue.
They replaced mine the first time this happened. Now my replacement broke and they aren't replacing it :(.
With that being said, I'm still very happy with my RM2. I purchased a "V-Pen" as a replacement and it's working okay. I'm lucky enough to have a free connect subscription for life because I purchased it early enough.
I used my reMarkable 2 tablet all throughout university (I only recently graduated). Searchability is an area that e-ink tablets can surely solve, although the reMarkable's software wasn't particularly helpful in this regard (perhaps it has improved now). You can only convert 1 page at a time using their OCR and they only recently added the ability to tag documents.
My favorite feature was actually simple: I don't have to erase everything to rearrange the layout of my notes. Being able to simply select a portion of the page, resize, and move it was killer. Another great feature is simply not having to lug separate notebooks around. The ability to organize and sort documents was very helpful.
Ah, good find. There's no mention of this as a closing option in the app itself. That fee is a bit ridiculous, but it might be the best option if you have a real portfolio.
I can't find a history that shows when they added this, but it appears they at least added transfers in a few years ago:
There's a few I2Psites that track other I2Psites (and share hosts.txt files). You can subscribe to these (attaching *.i2p domains to their respective long base32 links). By default stats.i2p and a few others are in your address book.
There used to be some I2P-only search engines but I'm not sure if they exist anymore.
There was also Kovri (a fork of i2pd made by the Monero project) that sadly appears to be dead now.[1] It could have greatly increased the number of nodes on I2P.
