i just ssh to my machine (from phone etc) and run `herdr` to resume.

I am guessing this now directly competes with mitchellh's multiplexer / Superlogical.

I just wouldn't bet against Mitchell. He doesn't need the money. He does it for the love of it.

Though what I genuinely don't understand is, why then Mitchel needs funding? If he needs funding - why accept it from weird contraversial figures?

He has the freedom of choice, like no other.

What are some examples of uncontroversial figures who would be willing to offer funding, in your opinion?

Why not Mitchel himself? Without anyone else.

Seeding superlogical wouldn’t make a dent to his “10 digit bank account”. Probably not much more expensive than airplane hobby.

why even take funding at all?

whats the closest to this that exists today? (??? + pick and place?)

I'm not the expert but Gemini doesn't say anything exists besides the Voltera V-One (which obviously doesn't work for complex PCBs). I am imagining something like a PCB microfactory the size of a container (or even smaller) that completely handles PCB etch and drill, solder paste application, PnP, baking, and testing.

That would be super cool. Difficulty comes with multi-layer PCBs, hard to find a solution for laminating.

PCBA lines are largely automated as of today, issues start when you do high-mix work. Most time ends up being spent switching between jobs and programming machines, meaning that tool usage time is low.

> Automating AI research is terrifying.

what why?

It depends what they mean by automating. But the classic argument goes:

* Each new generation of models has emergent capabilities we did not anticipate.

* We already have trouble monitoring and controlling the current generation (see HuggingFace incident).

* The more we let models shape their successors, the more out-of-distribution each generation's learning environment becomes.

* If not done carefully, we risk creating extraordinarily intelligent and powerful models with unintended behaviors, like deceptiveness or power-seeking.

Skynet.

Probably better than rushing the top comment only.

what kind of drones did you use for this.

i mean don't mount your nudes to it?

GoPro should pivot to making robotics and ai cameras and watch the stocks fly.

it's simple: unless trivial TOIL, always use the highest at ultra max settings.

Okay Richie Rich

Non sense, and time consuming.
