Short term thinking (quarterly earnings) has been a poor incentive for how to run public companies.

For how many quarters has FSD been going to work next quarter?

Works for me every single day and has for about a year

Huh? So there's actually no reason why cyber cab doesn't work?

TSLA and SPCX issues are not short term.

48 quarterly reports is (should be) :-)

OpenRouter is a marketplace (“OpenRouter, a fast-growing marketplace that enables developers to route traffic across various artificial intelligence models”).

Market places mean payments. Stripe does payments.

That's a good point actually. I just recalled that Openrouter charges a premium of 5.5% on transactions. That's probably comparable or fat relative to the cut for payments processors like Stripe.

You hired someone for a programming role who could not write a FOR loop? Oh dear.

> when there's nothing to back up the existence of the phenomenon?

What do you mean?

I'll clarify, by "nothing" I mean no objective data, as contrasted to the author's subjective impressions I brought up just before.

There are several places where the author has created mockups of how they think some data would look if it were collected.

1000s of data points are evidence, even if they aren’t logged in a lab notebook. No one except ideologues needs a study to say men are stronger than women; the broad outline of the autistic manner of speaking is equally obvious. The details are worth study, but you have to have no exposure to the relevant populations to argue with the existence of the difference.

Goosebumps.

And the visuals from Starlink for the entire journey is freakin' awesome.

With a decent soundtrack as well instead of the boring atmospheric stuff associated with space themes

> they have plans to elongate the stack further

Elongate the stack.

Pun employed intentionally.

Congratulations!

> People would prefer honesty.

Coarsely, people prefer things that don't hurt their feelings or that don't scare them. Sometimes that's candor; sometimes it is indirectness. Complicating matters further, different people will have different preferences in the same situations.
