> > imagine apple and amazon stock holders thinking the same and selling when stock went up 100% after ipo

In the case of Amazon they'd have had the opportunity to buy at 97% discount compared to ATH

It's about time somebody creates an onroute KYC to banks and offramp to spend so that you upload you KYC in the KYC app and then you can potentially open as many bank accounts as there are banks in the country, and the same for the offramp for the spending

Openbanking should be the priority and immediately after that openstockbrokering too

As of now people don't have their savings in USD and their investments in SP500 but in [bank of choice]USD and in [broker of choice]SP500

This means that outage or one of the usual dumb flagging that make banks stop providing you services until you send them an x-ray of your colon could potentially leave you without spendable money even if you have a million dollars or more

You have to join a more restrict community such as the FIFA PRO Clubs or the Rainbow Six teams or whatever is restrict and gaming thing . The general chatter/board where a plethora of people hangout such as reddit won't get you anywhere just like real life

Gambling on sports is the only field in which you can make money by having people think the opposite of what you think and you have a deadline by which the market has to resolve so you can avoid going bankrupt in the long wait for market to reconcile with reality as it happens in the stock market .

Bookies are bad they find ways to avoid paying all the times, exchanges are good

And the act itself , meaning wagering on athletes competing is almost as old as sex and prostitution and all the hopes to regulate it into submission are just as idiotic.

Imma go get the papers, get the papers.

> > and hurt productive capacity and jobs far less

This is so BS, the productivity of a company is given by cash flow and Discounted Cash Flow (output>input) , not stock market value , taxing Musk would force him to sell stock and dilute the ownership of Tesla and SpaceX down among the population proportionally and according to the brackets of taxation applied.

The fear that you are describing is exactly what's wrong with society, the virus of the mind that attributes to CEOs and especially tech CEOs demigod properties and if their ownership and decision making control were to be diluted the company would collapse and die.

If anything it's the opposite, the oldest companies in America have their ownership much more diluted than they once were . JPMorgan is not controlled by John Pierpont Morgan, same for all the companies which make up what once was Standard Oil

If anything history is showing that for the survival of a company it is almost a condition non negotiable that its ownership and decision making has to be diluted among millions of people with a low inequality factor, or at least lower than the one necessary in the first years of the company

> > If you disconnect the link between work and material comfort that simple, undeniable fact will no longer be fact.

The disconnect is already there, any 5 year old already understands that stealing a comic book at the comic book store is better than paying for it. And more and more people are resorting to it at every level of society

How can it be hot? Real means that it has a tangible value, a ceiling and so it cannot be charged up by the psychological hypetrain of the 'new paradigm' and also the financial hypetrain of number going up.

It is a pretty confined upside if anything

I looked into it years ago when I wanted to tokenize small firefighting planes and helicopters hoping that being the person in charge of the entity doing the tokenization I could be staying at the premises of the private companies that lease the planes and helicopters and hold the contracts to do the actual firefighting.

My hope was that being identified as the 'owner of the planes' eventually the crew would allow me to fly the missions as a +1 even though I don't have the licenses.

But never crossed my mind that this could be make me a millionaire

> > How would one daydream, i.e., imagine, when you have everything presented to you in 4k and you can even interact with it through games?

You can daydream about being the protagonist of such actions which is not the same as watching other people doing it

I used to spend a lot of time imagining myself as the captain of a Federation starship :) but I did also read a lot of books.

But also, the availability of YouTube changes the utility of descriptive writing. Moby Dick can have pages of text about whales or whatever, but now I can spend hours watching whale videos on YouTube. The importance of the interior life of the characters is more, or of diffusive world building stories with too much intricacy for a movie or video presentation.

You point out a critical difference, you were already experienced and “skilled” in imagining because you read a lot, a function where you are inherently going to have to imagine a lot more based on various degrees and quality of descriptions.

I think you may be underestimating the value of that skill and experience. You may not even be able to put yourself in the shoes, i.e., imagine what it may be like never having to had to imagine anything if you only ever watched the things happen on a rectangle from infancy on.

I argue that you only cross referenced the imagination skill into being a federation captain because you were already experienced and skilled in imagination.

I suspect it will be realized what devastation it has caused within our lifetimes and if we still have the capacity, we may even revert back to requiring reading and hopefully even banning screen usage by any minors.

We gave up on trying to convince others with just words if we don't have the money to back it up, meaning paying them to follow us.

When was the last time you convinced a person to bet on you , meaning transforming a no into a yes using a 30-40 sequence of words that you said?

No alcohol, no natural gain of confidence over time, straight up transforming a no into a yes without any appeal to higher authority (No AI, no Google, no Internet) no pitch deck, no market analysis no MVP, no nothing, just straight up 'trust me bro' with a more complex structure.

And I mean generally not (solely) romantically.
