Does this work for NAFO comments in English-language sites too? For a long time I thought NAFO was Russia but it turned out to be a NATO operation after all! Probably the biggest propaganda / psyop backfire in all of history. They're why I don't support Ukraine and think Zelensky should be in jail.
I am so confused. I remember "NAFO" from the early days of the war. I don't remember it "turning out to be a NATO operation". And if it did turn out to be, I don't understand how that would make it a "psyop backfire" and I further don't understand how that would cause someone to think Zelensky should be in jail.
It's hardly a problem because most web traffic doesn't need to be encrypted. Just banking, shopping, a few other things like healthcare and health care.
You'd be right if ISPs didn't do mass DPI and modification of pages to inject their own ads and trackers. They also routinely hijack and intercept DNS responses. They absolutely cannot be trusted carrying unencrypted traffic.
The point is that https-everywhere people have successfully pushed the majority of the sites that could previously be served over vanilla http to require https anyway. Now if you're on and old device you need an https proxy or else you're out of luck.
How does this work, does some mechanism replace the actual tape drive in the Datasette? Can you just use the tape port with the gadget or does it somehow need the tape drive? How do you access the HTML applications, how is the translation to PETSCII handled?

How have record stores disappeared? I live in a fairly remote area, the largest town in a two hour drive in any direction, which has about 30,000 people and we have TWO record stores. Two!
Is this really a good faith comment? Anyway the EU just fines US tech giants, it's part of doing business in the EU. It must be worthwhile, the fines must only amount to a small percentage of the lucre gathered there.
Digital Markets Act was supposed to define markets and allow competition, however it quickly turned into some existing monopolies putting their fingers into some American businesses and not addressing the main issues.
Whenever a successful European company like ASML is mentioned in the same context of monopolies due to their earned success in the semiconductor industry, then none of the market control (and I’m not just talking about digital markets here) goes out of the window.
Then I keep asking myself, are monopolies a bad thing that needs to be regulated because they can kill innovation and suck resources from nations, or does that only apply when it’s certain American companies only when they threatening the benefits of certain oligarchs.
