I've often eyed the Saildrone craft (which they are using) when heading out to the Alameda ferry dock area. Pretty cool looking devices.

Same here. It's cool to see them being towed out of the bay to go who knows where.


Congrats to Saildrone! I am surprised that the article did not discuss the dramatic force structure re-evaluation that needs to be going in light of the Ukrainian non-navy dominating the Black Sea, instead of the framing of Russian incursions in the Baltic Saildrone type assets seem well poised to be a part of that small, distributed, networked type of sea control.

There might be a space for remote boating with very small toy boats that are incredibly durable.


Especially now that Starlink supposedly can be used on boats.

Great to see this, Denmark would do well having an autonomous regiment in the Navy, Airforce and Army.
